Which Came First: The Chicken or The Egg?

A close friend of mine commissioned me for an artwork. She gave me the freedom to draw anything that I want, so I began with her favorite things which are chickens.
I explored the theme of the age old question, “which came first, the chicken or the egg?”. We’ve all heard it before. We heard it as riddle, as a line in a movie, as a joke, and even as a philosophical question.
Whichever way you want to consume this question, it would be important to stop for a moment and invite the chicken themselves into this conversation. After all, it is their existence we’re questioning about :-)
