Hi I’m Nia,

and I am finding answers one drawing at a time.

I’m based in Jakarta, Indonesia, and I love to reflect through colorful and whimsical drawings. For me, drawing is an attempt to find comfort in the unanswered. It’s a form of hope that helps solidify abstract thoughts. I believe that colorful and seemingly silly drawings can also hold weight and reflection.

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to create work for The New York Times Magazine, Wuling Motors Indonesia, and Jenius, among others I’m grateful to have collaborated with.

My favourite pastime is staying on top of pop culture and Internet trends. Besides scrolling through TikTok, I’ll spend my downtime reading books or enjoying quality time with my friends.

I’m still exploring new questions, one drawing at a time.
