Wormhole is a Singapore-based online bookstore that believes stories are essential for readers and non-readers alike.
This was one of my favorite project to date! I had the lovely opportunity to illustrate their monthly theme, “Must I Save The World From A Noseless Wizard to be Great?”. Find the article here.
The theme aims to explore how pop culture and media makes it easy for us to have one fixed idea of being great or exceptional. The news highlighting exceptional events/achievements, and entertainment medias featuring a special "chosen one" as the hero (think Harry Potter, Hunger Games etc). While that's great and we love our pop culture heroes, Wormhole want to explore and think about whether there's room for us to have other definitions of being great.
